Does Jordin Sparks Lip Sync?

Remember the elimination night for idol gives back??? I think it was that night, the night where Michael Johns went home. Anyways, Chris Brown and Jordin Sparks sang no air..but it looked like she was lip syncing it! So what I did was opened two tabs on my internet and played the AI version on one and the real version on the other. I played them both at the same time and they sounded exactly the same…Does anyone else think Jordin Sparks was faking it??

The performance was sung with live mics in front of the Idol audience the week before, and recorded live. The pre-recorded video was then shown during Idol Gives Back week. Neither Jordin nor Chris were lip syncing. Because there are so many parts to the song, a partial vocal track was played during the recording that contains pre-recorded vocal harmonies, but the kids were definately singing live into their mics. There have only been a couple of times when Jordin has been made to sing along to a full vocal track… not because she can’t sing the song, but because she either lost her voice, or there was some kind of television reason for doing so. Even in those cases she sang in unison with the track…so it was never really “lip syncing.”

There are some artists that ALWAYS use a track and hold the mic in such a way as to disguise their lips. That has never been the practice of Jordin. Only a major problem with her voice would cause her not to sing live at a performance, and in that case, she would soon thereafter go on vocal rest to guard against long term damage.

Jordin is anything but a “faker.”

Never said you did, xxlifeistooshortxx. I simply told you about Jordin. Here’s hoping she has a total recovery from her recent vocal cord problems.

Answer #5

She might have been. Sometimes stars need to lip sync due to a sore throat and things like that, doesn’t mean they want to. But its better then putting off the performance. Jordin Sparks has talent, I love her.

I never said she couldn’t sing the song…I never said she was a faker either..
