Does it cost money to link the wii to the internet?

Does it cost money to link the wii console up to the internet, as I dont want to have to spend money if it does. I just feel like playing against other people when its only me on the wii, so would like to be able to. So does it cost money. I know if you buy anything from it then obviously it does, but for the link?

No that’s free, but you have to buy the actul web searcher.

I know I probably sound a bit stupid in asking, but what is the web searcher you mentioned, because when I found the place to connect the internet it has the name of my internet connection, is that what your referring to? Thank you both for the advice btw :)

It’s a web browser for you Wii it’s pretty cool but not necessary. I play SSB:B all the time online, and I don’t have the browser! but it’s really preference.
