he might just be trying to work up his courage to ask you out. With the guy I liked I was trying to work up my courage but I just couldn’t until I went over to his house, got drunk for the first time and kissed me and he told me he liked me. I then told him I really liked him too. so maybe you should have a friend ask him out for you
