Do you think the word "lol" is being overused?

Do you think that the word “lol” is being overused? Iam sick of this word…

Answer #1

I had asked this question with the intention of banning lol.. But here people are showing the height of stupidity by writing lol hundred times

Answer #2

it becomes a habit I hate it now, I’ve heard it so much that instead of laughing at a joke a friend told me I said ‘lol’ IN REAL LIFE, ahh it is a curse ban LOL, =~D LOL

Answer #3

I think that inserting a smiley would do better than lol…

Answer #4

perhaps you’re right with the smiley but in a lot of programs that takes a lot more effort the just lol especially since peoples fingers and thumbs have been trained to do that as quickly as typing their own name!

I have to admitt I dont say it out loud though! I havent gotten that bad yet

Answer #5

Well, considering it was very tempting to start this letter with “lol” I would guess so. It has become almost habbit for me to use and it somewhat of a generic response. It tends to be used when someone doesnt know what else to say, or had a light gigle, but I dont think that LMAO is a better response or anything like that. There needs to be a slightly lighter reaction phrase thing (whatever you want to call it.) I am curious what you use instead?
