Is it stupid when people break up over Political beliefs

I think it’s stupid cause if you like someone enough 2 date them, you break up over political views? if it was that important in a relationship, a girl(or guy) wud go up 2 a guy (or girl) and say, hi, yur kinda cute…democrat, republican or independent. if the guy is a republican and the girl says democrat, he wud say, “oh, that’s 2 bad, I’m a republican. if you were, I wud really like u.”

No, I don’t think it’s stupid at all. I would not want to be with someone who doesn’t hold the same fundamental beliefs as me…beliefs about things as sacred as personal rights, freedom of choice, etc.

Politics can be very personal things for some people, not just labels. I wouldn’t want to sleep next to someone who believes in the death penalty or banning abortion.

what editor said… political beliefs are what you fundamentally believe in, and if you differ that much… well I dont know if I would want someone who didnt believe in providing services for those who couldnt afford it, or that wars were the best way to deal with issues…
