Its just im only 17 and dealing with all this is hard. And I dont know how to handle everything.

sunshineyx3 how is silver purified? By boiling it in very high temperature in furnace. After the burning is over it is pure and has very great value. In fact it already had value for if it was not already valuable it would not have been put into fire for purification in the first place. Don’t worry you are valuable in Gods sight. That is why this is happening to you. Rest assured for the silversmith knows exactly when to take the silver out of the fire - before being burnt.

Answer #7

This probably seems counter intuitive, but if you quit fighting your doubts, and realize no god is out there controlling your life or those of your loved ones, acceptance of what life throws at you is actually easier, not harder.

Almost no-one has the kind of faith necessary to bring peace in turmoil. It’s a big lie religions teach.

Nonbelievers work through the grieving process and obtain peace the natural way, rather than trying unsuccessfully to get there through the false hopes of religion.

Assuming you are Jewish or Christian the Book of Job in the Old Testament addresses the question of why God allows bad things to happen to good people.

In the Book of Job, Job is a very prosperous and pious man. Satan tells God that Job is only pious because he is prosperous. God allows Satan to test Job by destroying all of Job’s possessions, kill his 10 children, and cover his skin with painful boils. After loosing everything Job’s wife tries to get him to curse God but Job refuses.

Job complains that God is not fair for cursing him when he was a good servent. God tells Job that life isn’t fair and God has his own reasons for doing things.

Later God blesses him even more than before his ordeal with more wealth, better kids, and an extra long life.

I honestly don’t believe that thinking that God is testing you is going to help you with this difficult time.

You need to talk to someone, write things down, get your feelings out. It seems like in life when things go wrong , it comes twofold. Everything bad comes all at once it seems.

You need to find a way to deal with your emotions and with your stress. Take up a new hobby, boxing, karate, scrapbooking, anything you like. Write down your feelings to get them out of you, instead of bottling them up. Find a good friend or family member that you can call anytime you feel overwhelmed.

Answer #10

god never gives you a cross that he thinks you can not carry. God only gives you situations in life that he knows you will be able to get through. Pray to him and I am very sorry about everything you are going through, I hope things get better. I don’t think God is testing you we all have things in our life that we have to go through. just stick in there and always remeber God is here for you!

Answer #11

its called going through a bad patch. it isn’t god testing you, mainly because he doesnt excist ;) but im not going to get into that. why would he test you? you need to focus on the problems you’re having - how you can help. NOT about god and stuff, because honestly you will never find out anytime soon. I hope everything goes okay ^^ always here to talk if you need!

Answer #12

ALL of us go through trials of varying degrees - as to whether God is testing, we have no way of knowing - often times His mercy keeps things from happening to us that we deserve and His blessings gives us things we don’t or couldn’t deserve - Prayer is what really helps me in the valleys of life.

Answer #13

I think that God can and does test us, from time to time, in certain situations, however, to say that all of this is a test… is pushing it. One good thing that can come out of bad situations is that hopefully we will draw closer to God, during the ordeals of life. If we run to God, rather than from him, he is able to help us, in everything that we encounter. There is a great deal of comfort to be obtained from seeking God, thru his word, his spirit, his people, and thru prayer. All of this can help us, in the good times, and in the bad. Gods word is a source of comfort, and instruction, we can come to again and again, and when we seek him thru his spirit, he can enlighten us, encourge us, and instruct us, however, he will never lead us contrary to his word, so, any direction that we feel we have received in the spirit, needs to be checked thru the word, and God is able and willing to confirm any direction that he gives.

Father, I pray that sunshine, will find the hope and comfort in you, that is available, please lead her and guide her in the direction that she should go, and help her to seek you, for the help that she is needing. Thank you for hearing our prayer, and for moving in her situation, to draw her closer to you, and to quiet her fears. In Jesus Name. Amen.

God be with you…
