Do you have to buy songs for the iPod shuffle?
I’m thinking about getting a Ipod shuffle but do I have to buy songs for the ipod? because I don’t want to can’t you just download them from Limewire?
Downloading copyrighted songs you don’t have legal rights to from limewire is illegal and wrong.
In the US you can legally “rip” songs from CDs you own though. I’ve purchased a few songs for my iPod but 99% of the songs on it are from albums I own. I understand in some other countries it is illegal to make copies of copyrighted material in a different format than the original even if it is for personal use.
you can use songs downloaded from limewire, or any other media ‘sharing’ program/website.
It is illegal, but thousands upon millions of people do this, so it is generally considered ‘normal’.
