Do you believe in Elohim?

Apparently the Hebrew bible had been mistranslated and Elohim does not mean “God” but “those who came from the sky”. these beings were created to look exactly like them. Thats why in the text “Then Elohim said, let use create man in his own image”, or in this case their own image.

I find it very interesting, you can look more into it through some research. Google elohim and it should be the 3rd site, I found that one the most information filled.

So do you believe in them?

The name Elohim is unique to Hebraic thinking: it occurs only in Hebrew and in no other ancient Semitic language. The masculine plural ending does not mean “gods” when referring to the true God of Israel, since the name is mainly used with singular verb forms and with adjectives and pronouns in the singular (e.g., see Gen. 1:26). However, considering the Hashalush HaKadosh (Trinity), the form indeed allows for the plurality within the Godhead.

In the traditional Jewish view, Elohim is the Name of God as the Creator and Judge of the universe (Gen 1:1-2:4a).

“The Holy One, Blessed be He, said to those, You want to know my name? I am called according to my actions. When I judge the creatures I am Elohim, and when I have mercy with My world, I am named YHVH” (Ex R. 3:6).

In the second creation story (Genesis 2:4b-ff) the Name of God is revealed as the Sacred Name YHVH (from the semitic root that means “to be”) and expresses the idea of God’s closeness to humans. YHVH “breathed into his (Adam’s) nostrils the breath of life” (Genesis 2:7).

Elohim. [The basic form] God; gods. The plural form of El, meaning “Strong One.” The Name Elohim occurs 2,570 times in the Tanakh. See Isa. 54:5; Jer. 32:27; Gen. 1:1; Isa. 45:18; Deut. 5:23; etc.

Answer #2

The word “God” is Elohim, which is itself a plural form and, like most other words, has more than one definition. It is used in a plural sense of “gods” or “men with authority,” and in a singular sense for “God,” “god,” or “a man with authority, such as a judge.” The Hebrew lexicon by Brown, Driver and Briggs, considered to be one of the best available, has as its first usage for Elohim: “rulers, judges, either as divine representatives at sacred places or as reflecting divine majesty and power, divine ones, superhuman beings including God and angels, gods.”

My belief is that people get mixed up with God and god from Elohim, that is why most people believe Jesus is God because of this reason, Elohim is plural.

Answer #3

WHETHER ME OR ANYONE ELSE BELIEVE IN ELOHIM,OR ANY OTHER NAME IS IRRELEVANT. REMEMBER THERE WILL ALWAYS BE SOMEONE SOMEWHERE WHO IS AGAINST THE HOLY BIBLY, TO ME IT ISNT AN ISSUE OF BELIEF ITS MORE IMPORTANT TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR SOUL AND SALVATION WHILE HERE ON EARTH AND SPENDING MORE TIME IN LIVING RIGHT AND INSTEAD OF GETTING CAUGHT UP WITH SOME IGNORAMANTS THOUGHTS WEBSITES BOOKS AND OTHER NEGATIVE MATERIALS…BUT YES GOD IS ALL GOOD HE IS ALPHA AND OMEGA—THE BEGINNING AND THE END.

Answer #4

Its just as plausible as any other religious explanation…

But the Elohim concept gives reason (a wee bit) to bridge the gap between religion and the idea of advanced alien civilizations. Depending on how you view it, of course…
