Answer #1

OK, well then I apologize. I didn’t realize there ever was such a comment, seeing how it was removed.

Just as a suggestion, if you’re going to remove comments, you should realize it will affect people’s perception of any responses made to those comments.

OMG this is my favourite question so far, lmao. Most Canadians speak English, except in Quebec where the official language is French. Bonjour. Au revoir.

P.S. Canada is really multicultural so there are a lot of different languages (but they are not official language).

Answer #3

I’m quite sure it’s still English (although more like American-English), just a slightly different accent. I’m sure loads of people from other countries wonder if we talk funny too. Lol.

Answer #4

I know what you mean - usually if a lot of people have replied to the comment I’ll clean up the thread so all posts on the topic aren’t there anymore. Point taken though :)

Answer #5

they are pretty much english [[like american english]] but theres a lot who speak french, its just kinda of depends on where you go in canada lol

Answer #6

In Canada there is both French and English, most of the French-Canadians are in Quebec but there are also some others all across Canada. I live in Canada, I learned French in school but I forget it all now because we don’t speak French in my house. We all learn French in school, some take core-French all through their schooling just depending on what their parents decide (or what they decide as they get older). We still speak normal English like saying “Hello” and “Goodbye”.

I’ve talked to an American on the phone, her and I spoke the same.

Answer #7

We speak English and French…we are a bilingual country (although, there are many people who speak many other languages)

We do NOT say “aboot”…it’s pronounced “a-bowt”

I’m seriously getting really tired of that stereotype…where do you people get this from, anyway?

Answer #8

Well, no one on this thread mentioned that stereotype. It appears you’re the only one bringing it up. Most people I’ve spoken with-Canadian, American, British, or otherwise-realize it’s just a joke and that Canadians don’t actually speak that way.

Yes they did, I removed the comment because it was offensive. I think she deserves an apology because she did-not bring it up, she was just replying to a rude comment made.
