Do "breast lift" scars go away?

I lost a lot of weight recently and Im thinking of getting a breast lift or a “boob job”. My breast are not that bad, but not as firm as they used to be, and I wonder if its worth it, and if the scars eventually go completely away. In all the pictures I saw, you could still see a big scar under the breasts and sometimes around the nipple…I even saw lumps in some cases… Thanks!

I got a reduction almost 2 years ago now, and I can still see scars. I have regained almost all the feeling, too. My surgeon told me that because I had great skin and I was young (only 18 when I had it done) that I would recover quickly and heal fast, and I did. Apparently I was the poster child for quick-healing, but I still have visible scars. My boyfriend says you can hardly see them from front on and that you have to look closely and/or know that I had the procedure done to notice, but I think when I’m lying on my back and the skin is more visible you can tell a lot more. There are days I wish I would’ve have gotten it done, and days I’m very glad, but overall I try to live without regrets. I try to love myself no matter what I look like, and keep telling myself the right person won’t care about scars and will think I’m beautiful no matter what (which he does). To minimize scarring, I got these little silicone patches to put over the suture line areas and apparently that’s supposed to help a lot with scarring, and maybe that’s why mine don’t look too bad. Most of all if you get an infection on the suture line get it looked at and don’t pick scabs! That leaves big scars too. Good luck!! (And I knwo some of this isn’t pertinent to you because your procedure will be different, but feel free to contact or message me with questions!)
