I never heard of female animals menstruating, only humans. So do they? And if they do then how? I never see animals walking around bleeding...
Yes, they do. I work at an animal shelter on weekends and we often have female dogs brought in who are in heat and bleeding. They just leave little drops of blood everywhere. It's pretty annoying, they make little diaper/pads for dogs and sell them at petstores.
Spaying stops the menstruation and also prevents unwanted litters, lessening overpopulation.
Menstration in humans is the sluffing off of unused nutrients for an implanted embryo...so NO, dogs do not "menstrate"...they do have bleeding when they are in heat, however...but it's in "preparation" FOR an implanted embryo...
The only thing in common at all, is there is some blood, but they aren't related in any way.

lol, I know dogs do - it's called going on heat, or in heat. Not sure what the timing is, but it's a bit of a nuisance, thats why people like to get female dogs spayed.
No, most mammals come into heat, or estrous cycle, humans and some primates, bats, and shrews are the only mammals who undergo a menstrual cycle, as far as I know.
they do...if they havent been fixed...it normally occurs about 6 months..and its not large amounts like humans..its just alittle bit.
