Why do I have this intense dizziness?

When I was a little girl, I would lay down on the couch for hours on end. I would stand up and my vision would get a little blurry and I would be a bit dizzy.

Now, all I have to do is SIT (not LAY) down for about 15 minutes, and I get REALLY dizzy, and my vision fogs up so I can bearly make it out. I just got up to get my dads keys and I swear I nearly collapsed.

Whats happening to me, does this happen to everyone?

Agree with xiigzag - its because your not eating much, and your not getting what your body needs, and so your body’s starting to run on empty. Its not really a good sign, and your recent bingeing urges are your body’s way of saying “I’m not getting enough energy to continue like this”.

I know you think you need to loose weight, and that when you eat heaps you feel awful afterwards, but this behavior isn’t normal and isn’t good for you at all. You appear to have all the hallmarks of an eating disorder. Your mood swings (as noted in your other question) are also related to your nutrition, or lack thereof.

belindaleigh, I hope you realize that this isn’t good and you need help, at the very least you need to talk to your friends and family about this. Eating like you are isn’t going to let you follow your dreams - can you imagine trying to do ballet if you suddenly get up to do an exercise but can’t see and feel dizzy? You’d most likely lose your balance and fall over, and make yourself look like a fool nearly every lesson… not something you’d want. Study is going to get more demanding as you progress through school… can you imagine that you’ll have the stamina to concentrate with the future workload if you keep going as you are? Do the mature and responsible thing and address this now, take charge of it - if you keep going the way you are, you’ll just faint/collapse one day and most likely end up in the hospital, not to mention give your family one huge scare. And then everyone will find out what’s been going on, and the doctor’s will force you to get help. Help will be much more effective if you seek it, not have it forced on you (and would you really want to spend a night, possibly two, in hospital? they aren’t nice places).

I know its hard, and its not something you really want to hear, but I’m sure you can see the connections between your behaviour, your dizzy spells and your eating. Please do something about your eating - you are a very smart person and I’m certain you have a bright future ahead of you if you knock this on the head now before it gets totally out of control :)
