Are there any diseases that would make your blood a pale, almost pink, color?

I’m going to do some research in a minute as well, but in the middle of writing (my wife said she wouldn’t actually review my work until I hit a certain milestone) :) And yes, it will have a vampire or two in the story, lol.

Answer #1

i dont think there is. unless its a menstral thing or urinary tract thing..

Answer #2

I just checked around, and didn’t find much. Iron deficiency Anemia causes small, pale red blood cells…maybe the blood would be pale and pinkish too…the fancy-schmancy term for this disease is:”Hypochromic, microcytic anaemia.

Another disorder might be Thalassaemia, where the red pigment in the blood is not made properly by the body. It’s genetic, not usually severe enough to need transfusions, although it can be that serious.

I don’t know if this helps at all. But I learned something new while looking for the info!

Answer #3

Thanks. I found a news story about a child born in China that had pink blood and a cartoon related to the Pink Panther, but that was it :) Appreciate the info!

Answer #4

A severe imbalance between red blood cells and white blood cells (some types of leukemia, etc.) can make the blood pinkish, but not pink panther-pink. Just a bit paler than regular arterial blood.

Answer #5

you needto have a real doctor check that out even if you think its nothing its your blood man your body dont funktion with out it so keep it good

Answer #6

Please re-read the question description…this is a fictional concept other than the one case i found in the news of a child being born with a blood this color.
