Discharge but no period

this is assuming that the discharge you have is, clearish / whitish (almost transparent) odourless, or with a slight ‘aroma’ (seriously, thats the word my nursing book uses!)

ok, the discharge that you are experiancing has nothing to do withyour period. it’smore than likely going to be about your body just changing through puberty. it’s very common for girls (and women!) to get moist ‘down there’ it’s just your bodies chemistry changing.. don’t panic!

no one will be able to tell you when your period will start, but if your starting to produce mucous ‘down there’ then it certainly indicates that your bodies hormonal cogs are starting.. but your period may start tomorrow or in 3 years…there’s no way of knowing…and there is nothing wrong with that either…

I always say keep a spare pair of knickers and 2 pads in a spare pencil case in the depths ofyour school bag - just in case it catches you unawares…

however, if this discharge does smell offensive / or strong and it has a strange colour to it, pop down the doc’s just to get it checked over. your doc has seen a million ‘down there’s’ and you have NOTHING to feel embarressed about…
