How can I fix my digital camera lens?

My Grandfather bought me this new HP Photosmart Digital Camera, that costed around $300.

I broke it.

It fell off my bed. My cameras lens goes out when you take a pic, it has two sections to the lens, and the second (smallest) where the Cameras “glass eye” is located. It bent, one of the lens thingy bent.

I did not try to force it back, ok, a placed a little pressure…but it wont go back in.

I need to fix this before anyone find out.

If you have another camera, take a picture of it. I need to know exactly what is wrong. Message me here or view my profile for AIM.

Dear lilsayuri, Take it to a camera shop and have them send it away for repairs. You had an accident..there is nothing terrible about that and sure maybe grandpa would get upset but her would be more upset if you didn’t get it fixed and just put it aside never to be used again. Sue..good luck

I know this is an old post, but this might help others. What you’ve experienced is called a “lens error”. Google this term, and you’ll find many possible fixes, and actually this might be repairable without even opening the camera (even though it looks damaged beyond repair). Think of it like a dislocated shoulder. Google the term and look for a website titled “Do It Yourself Digital Camera Repair”.
