What's the difference between going steady with someone and going out with them?

Answer #1

Nothing…they are both phrases that mean they are boyfriend and girlfriend.

Answer #2

To me, going steady suggests commitment. Going out means you’re dating, but there is no commitment yet. Thats just me though! Actually, I haven’t heard someone say “going steady” in a long time! lol

Answer #3

nothing, going steady means your not rushing into anything serious. but you are dating. well that is my opinion on it.

Answer #4

Well, going steady with someone indicates that you are in a committed and serious relationship. Going out is like trying out a relationship.

Answer #5

It is the same thing. Going out means going steady, dating on the other hand, generally means something else than those two.

Answer #6
