What's the difference between a Gameboy Advance and a Gameboy Advance SP?

well for starters a gameboy advance is wider and can play gameboy color games as well..the SP is smaller and has a metallic covering..the SP can also change its brightness settings and is alleged to have better graphics..i never owned a SP simply because its almost identical to a gameboy advance despite its more appealing image.

The “brightness settings” were simply on and off. I liked it more because it folds, which protects the screen. But if you already had an Advance, there really wasn’t much more point in getting it.

I’ve had most of the Gameboys over the years: the only one I “passed” on was the Advance, and I’m glad I did. I understand the screen of that one was so dark that it could only be played under a bright light! The SP is wonderful–its lighted screen means it can be played under any lighting conditions, and I also love the rechargeable battery pack. It’s a pity that the Gamebay is so expensive here in Australia.

The difference is the model of the gameboy advance. The gameboy advance is wide like a psp for example. And the gameboy advance SP is thin, it flips, it has a light screen, and recharges. They both can play gameboy color games. I prefer the SP.
