Did he leave me?

My boyfriend and I had just celebrated out 4yr anniversary last Thursday. We went out to a fish fry last Friday. We breifly talked about the future and I brought up marriage. When we woke up Saturday morning, everything seemed good. He kissed me goodbye and I told him to call me when he got home from his parents house that night. Well, I have not seen or heard from him since. It has been 8 days. Do I just move on now, have we broken up without him telling me it is over? I have not tried to call him, I am scared he will offically end it.

well at least he’s not in a ditch somewhere! But how old is this guy? He got freaked, that’s ok, it happens. But shouldn’t he have talked to you about it, and not hid?

Answer #2

Well, I wimped out and called him last night. We talked for about three hours. He was freaked about our conversation. He said I was talking crazy. So, as of right now, I guess things are ok,

Answer #3

I hope that everything works out. I figure that if there is an ounce of hope in the back of your mind, try to make it work! If he keeps letting you down like this though, you really deserve better.

Answer #4

Well I knew he was ok, I saw his car at work.

He is 41. He does not take to things like this very well. He told me that the phone goes both ways and I told him that I did not call because I was afraid he would end it and he said that was not going to happen. He can be very confusing. I think I need to evalute our relationship and decide if I want to continue to live like this with him. Seriously, if there will be no future beyond this, I am not so sure I want to continue this. I am really confused. Yes, I am happy we talked. But, I am not sure if this is right for me anymore.

Answer #5

I hope he’s alright. Try calling his family, see if he got there alright, and when he left. I’d be worried about his safety. If you’ve been together for four years, there’s obviously some trust there, and mentioning marriage is not likely to scare a man off after that long of a commitment. If he’s mature, he’d at least be able to talk about his opinion, for or against. If he can’t even talk about it - he’s not for you!! Let me know if he turns up!

Answer #6

Usually when he is not happy with me for whatever reason, he will go on tangens and dissappear without notice for a couple days. That is his way of avoiding confrentation, but he has not acted like that for a couple years. I mean, we have talked about the future before and he has never acted like this; although, this time, I kind of hinted more on marriage than I ever have before.

I know he is ok, I went to the store the other day and that store is kiddy corner from where he works, and his car was there. So, I am not worried something happened.

Answer #7

So you would rather be tortured mentally wondering if he’s left you from now on, than just give him a ring and see where you stand? It’s a tough move but you know it’s the right call.

It does seem strange that you’ve not heard a single peep from him though. Does he usually do that? Or does he usually call/text you at least once a day? Does he usually keep his promises?

At the moment I’d be more worried about his welfare than thinking that he’s left you. He may have lost his phone or other things. Depending on where you live, he may also be snowed in with no electricity. Try calling his parents’ place or any of your mutual friends if your calls to his phones are unanswered.

Answer #8

I think you just kind of scared him off for a little bit but like 4 years thats a long time I dont think he would leave you over you having a conversation about your future. call him and dont be scared just work everything out. it will be fine. if he truly loves you he’ll come back but call him to let him know that you want him to come back. good luck and dont be scared.

Answer #9

WHAT IF SOMTHING HAPPEND 2HIM?

Answer #10

Ok, so if I scared him, then he will take time to think about it and contact me at some point then right?
