Did any other Christians notice this?

Did you notice that when you give the right answers that God wants you to give, and people mark them as unhelpful because they’re afraid to hear the truth?

Answer #1

They’re lost, that’s to be expected.

Answer #2

if I began giving wiccan driven advice I figure the same thing would start happening, when religion is given as advice it is a form of pushing beliefs at someone, I view such answers as someone thinking they are better than me- and hope to change me to the proper way of thinking ( their way of thinking)- they are right and I am wrong.

if you start answering questions from your life experience, and less from “the book” some answers might be more appealing to people.

read what foxy wrote above and take it to heart, you are a friend of mine as well, and I don’t push my beliefs on you- others deserve the same respect, when the “sermon” starts- that is when I start to walk, don’t want to hear it- it is not the truth to me, based on my life experience- and careful study. not from being lost, or delusional, or ignorant, or intolerant.

Answer #3

I get quite a bit of those zero of one thought this was helpful on answers I gave to certain questions. I don’t know why they don’t like to hear the truth even though some might think that your right and they’re wrong which isn’t right, but, well, what are you going to do? I think that allot of Christians notice that everyday. I know I do.

Answer #4

I can’t help but notice that captainassassin and I, both nonchristians, also both have at least one ‘no’ mark for our first replies.

Answer #5

I rate answers based on how helpful, informative and on topic they are. Lots of answers that I totally disagree with have gotten good ratings from me.

Yeah, but its sad how many people rate only out of spite…

Answer #6

I’ll vouch for that - eleni is big enough to rate my answers well at times, even when we disagree. Thanks.

Answer #7

I wondered why I got some zeroes on good answers. LOL

Answer #8

It is very hard being on a secular site, trying to share the things of God. And my heart goes out to the sincere believers that have to try and sort thru all the answers, hoping they will find the right one. I can see how one could easily be confused. However, I am sure that some good does come out of this.

Answer #9

because there isnt only one ‘truth’ to the world

not to mention you (specifically YOU ‘teachel’…no offense) bring religion into evey question for no reason

like if someone asks a question about drugs you call them a lost soul or something

cant say it bette than ‘boomtwack’

Answer #10

Most of my anti-god comments get marked unhelpful as well, dear martyrs.

Answer #11

Nerd, who is not a Christian, has this surperb comment on her profile:

“Did you find this answer helpful?” is not code for “Do you agree with this answer?”.

That’s what we all need to remember.

Answer #12

the only time I ever mark those kind of answers as unhelpful is when they are telling me I will go to hell, instead of actually talking to me about what I asked

Answer #13

I dont think you accept other people for there beleifs at all… some people who are christian could find it unhelpful and people who arnt christian can find it unhelpful or not the kind of thing they want to hear about not everyone wants to hear or know about your “god” and by saying they rated your answers low because they “are afraid to hear the truth” is very silly…the ratings to your answers arnt something you should beworrying about

Answer #14

Did you notice that when you give the right answers that God wants you to give, and people mark them as unhelpful because they’re afraid to hear the truth?

Possibly because you (like many other christians) are too young, naive, inexperienced, under-educated, or over-zealous (or any combination of the preceding); to be giving advice about god and/or your religion, to any individual(s) with a different opinion.

Further more, you don’t really know what the ‘right answers’ are, nor what god wants; you only have your opinions. To say otherwise, would make you seem pompous and arrogant… and thus unhelpful.

Answer #15

You are a beacon of light for people, you are a lightworker, some people don’t want to hear the truth, tell them if they don’t want to know the answer than don’t ask! You continue doing exactly what you are doing, delivering truth, that is what we are suppose to be doing, love & light to you, Summerrainn

Answer #16

Yeah, but apparenty that doesn’t martyr… uh, I mean ‘matter’

Answer #17

they are marked unhelpful because you bring religion into places were it isnt needed. furthermore you act as a “religious enforcer” making comments without any explaination as to why.

Answer #18

I agree with foxy

Answer #19

well they mark it zero because not everyone is a christian on here no offense or anything but others don’t like it when you leave religious comments how would you like it if like, a jewish or muslim person left comments about their religion all over your questions its kind of offensive darling, theres millions of “truths” out there to each his own hope I helped, I didn’t mean to sound rude, just saying what its like from the other side :)

Answer #20

There is a reason when someone needs God.

Answer #21

…who is name-calling?

Answer #22

Hey up there, call me what you want! Doesn’t hurt my feelings. I get called names all the time.

Answer #23

Great answer foxxy… Not EVERYONE on this site is christian… And NOT everyone understands that…

Because we are LOST and will burn in hell for eternity so OUR opinion doesn’t matter.
