What is your description of a "toxic" person or "toxic" people?

I’m refering to people that you ‘have’ to be around (work, school, ect.). People you ‘try’ to deal with or get along with, but it’s very difficult to do so for you personally, but maybe not for others

When I first started working at my current job a little over 6 years ago there was a lady that worked here that was very negative and depressing to be around. So much in fact that I almost thought about quitting because she made it sound so terrible to work here. But after I got used the owners management style and felt more in place I felt a lot better about working here, and realized she was just a depressing person. I’m very glad I still work here because I love my job and it soon to offer me an opportunity I don’t think I could find anywhere else.

Simply put, a person/s which are a negative influence on your life….definiately best to avoid…..

someone who complains about everything. i have family members who all they do is talk about other people. they “know” everything and no matter what, they’re right and you’re wrong. I also worked with 2 ladies that no matter what story you were telling, it had happened to them too only worse or better. if you traveled by plane, they used to have pilots licenses, if you took a train, they were on the orient express, if you were in a fender bender they were smashed between 2 big rigs and broke every bone in their body but managed to walk away and help people who were trapped in their cars…ad nauseum

I think a toxic person is one who literally poisons your life. They are very negative and if they feel down, they’ll do their hardest to take you with them. They focus only on the bad aspects of life, constantly whine and are very selfish.They want to be heard, but don’t want to listen. Good people to stay away from!
