depression causing irregular periods??

could my depression be causing me to like entirely skip my period, and then get 2 like a couple of weeks apart and stuff like that?? and is it normal to have it really hevily that first 2 days and then be REALY light the next few??

Answer #1

It is possible (and I think more likely) that there may be a common cause behind both of them… Hormonal imbalances can cause depression and irregular period… You should go see a doctor, make sure there isnt a medical condition that is causing the depression…

Answer #2

Definitely, depression can affect everything in the body. If it continues the same next mth, contact your gynecologist and let then know what’s going on.

Answer #3

Yes, stress and depression could definitely cause irregular periods. I was under a lot of stress that last few months and I only had one and it only lasted a day and a half. I went to the doctor and they said it was from stress… so yeah, depression can cause it.=)
