Umm, She was in that little segment thingy that they do on Disney Channel I believe it’s Called “as the bell rings” and some Disney Channel Producers saw her and they thought she had a lot of talent, so they made her the star of the movie Camp Rock. And The movie became adored by Disney fans so they decided to give her her own show called “Sonny with a chance”… My sister told me that’s what happened. [=

My best guess is that she auditioned or had an agent get her the job/audition. I first saw her in the movie Camp Rock.
