Who has ever had a third-degree burn?

how did it feel?

Answer #1

I have. It was really painful. I accidentally touched my bare leg to the tail pipe of a motorcycle. My skin melted to the metal and it left a huge blister. This was about 9 years ago and I still have the scar.

Answer #2

i have, my idiot mother left the water on too long for coffee, and i was making it in the microwave, the water spilt over my thumb, which was covered with my robe. i had to wait until i put down the mub to take the robe off. my skin blistered and turn red. it took me three weeks to completely heal because it kept peeling. didn’t help that i had to work either.

Answer #3

I love how you spilled the water, but your mother is the idiot…

Answer #5

Had a pot of boiling oil fall on my hand. Had my hand in ice water whole night only to see the skin come off in the morning. Yea! It hurt!

Answer #6

I had a third degree sunburn when I was at the beach years ago. Long story short, passed out on the beach and woke up burnt. Hurt like no pain I have EVER felt! now i have lots of freckles where the skin grew back.

Answer #7

Well my bf and I were in the kitchen frying chicken, he didn’t know I was basically right behind him, he went to move the pot of oil and he spilled it all over my chest, I was burnt basically from my collar bone all the way to my knees, was in the hospital for a little over a month :-(

Answer #8

Actually, 3rd degree burns are usually not as painful as 1st and 2nd. 3rd degree burns burn through the entire epidermis and dermis and in the process destroy the skin’s nerve endings. All 3rd degree burns should be treated as medical emergencies (as well as 2nd degree burns larger then 3” in diameter). 3rd degree burns require skin grafts otherwise lead to extensive scarring.

Answer #9

oh my gosh! the scar is really visible?

Answer #10

I kinda have to agree with Colleen on this one…

Answer #11

Yeah. It used to be a really dark brown color but it has faded a little. It left a small dip in my leg as well.
