What to do with my daughter on her birthday?

Help! I need to come up with something special/unique to do for/with my daughter for her 19th birthday next week. She was going to go on a trip to New Orleans with a friend for her BD but the friends parents wouldnt let her go. So she is very dissapointed. My daughter lives at home, goes to college full time and works part time at a daycare/preschool. Most all of her friends are gone away to college. Any suggestions!!?

PLEASE do not do anything that would remind her of what she is missing out on (like throwing a mardi gras theme party) If I were in your daughter’s shoes, I might want a day at the spa with mom and really good lunch. You can enjoy that too. I’m 22 now and a few years ago, it would have been so lame for my mom to throw me a party.

If I had to plan her birthday, I would find out stuff she likes & ask her friends to plan a party to her liking, trust me.

yes plan a trip to london for a meal and shopping, weekends are the best as every one has free time! or can book time off!!!

or you could

arrange a few drinks in a posh hotel..and book them a room!!!

if you have a place that has nothing but inflatable toys and games like boxing and slides and obstacle courses that is always fun! thats what my friend’s mom did for her when she turned 19… people are never too old for that stuff!

maybe you should give her the party in the mardi gras theme with some cajun music and decorations,mardi gras beads and some cajun food if possible let her know if she can’t go to new orleans that you will bring new orleans to her. I would love that

I don’t know how you are on money but how bout getting all her old friends back for the weekend and throwing a surprise party for her? Or maby convince the friends parents to let her go with your daughter? Sorry if this advice dosent help its just what id try and do.

A surprise party would be good invite family,workmates and any other freinds that are not away,maybe even fancy dress
