Because I’ve never really asked anyone out before, do boy’s really hate it when a girl rejects an invite for going out?

Written messages are always a good way to turn someone down. To lessen the impact, say that he was sweet or something so that he leaves with some pride and confidence but also make it clear that you’re not into him.

If you are going to turn a guy down, try and doing it discretely and quietly and not in front of your friends or his.

The other option is to slip him a note saying what you think.

He will still be disappointed but at least you have let him keep his dignity and not embarrassed him.
