For a temporary thing, try cover up. Sometimes dark circles under the eye could mean low iron–anemia. Your doctor would schedule a blood test to determine wether or not that is the problem. Make sure you drink lots of water, and get plenty of rest. Sometimes allergies as well could cause darkening under the eye. My mother told me a while ago, put tea bags in a damp cloth overnight in the refrigerator, then in the morning put them on your eyes for about 10-15 minutes. Oh, and they have to be caffeinated tea bags. The tannin they contain has shown that it reduces puffiness and darkness, it helped me. Cucumbers also work, like they do in the spa. Again, put in a damp cloth, over night in the refrigerator and on your eyes 10-15 minutes. Another thing I can think of are creams that contain vitamin K and retinol. And of course, long term daily use has the best affect. And lastly, watch your salt intake. Too much salt makes makes your body retain water is weird places, which could cause puffiness under the eyes and there could be poor circulation which makes the blood vessels under the skin to be darker.

sleep is most important like peachypoo said but a way to make your skin more healtiher in area is putting grated potato on it for like 15-20 minutes. potatos have a special kind of enzyme that helps you could also try putting cucumber - this will brighten your area and freshen it up so it doesnt look too bad also drink loaaads of water!! some people often forget this but it is very important to your 8 glasses of water a day it realy helps with stuff like this hope I helped-good luck;)
