Curly hair question...

I got a haircut on Thursday for my curly hair…I got long layers and my longest layer goes a little past my shoulder. It looks fabulous and really curly and cute; the only thing is, the next day, my hair still looked nice, but not quite as curly as it was the day before like I wanted it. The hair stylist put some mousse into my wet hair after styling it the day before, and moved it around or something. I wasn’t facing the mirror so I couldn’t see. Why did it look so curly and cute that day and not as good the next days?

Notes:

-Could it be the mousse, do you think? -Could it be that I waited for it to dry ALL THE WAY before styling it that day? -Could it be that she moved or teased my hair really quickly to make it so curly?

PLEASE HELP! I like my hair now, but I loved it even better the first day I got the style :(

Hmmm. Im half black. So I have naturally curly hair and it doesnt make my hair frizzy. Guess its just yours. sorry I couldnt help.

Um, singer207, I usually do that (style while wet) when I do a hairstyle that doesn’t get frizzy, but handling curls while wet can make it really, really frizzy.

I have naturally curly hair. No, You want your hair WET when you style it. My suggestion would be to get out of the shower and kinda pat you hair somewhat dry and the massage mousse in it. And if you dont have an mousse a substitute would be to use conditioner to style your hair and then leave it in. I dont know if she teased your hair. But scrunching really works. But when you scruch start with the bottom layer and clip the rest of your hair up. Hope this helped! ;)

I have naturally curly hair and I know exactly what you’re talking about.

I personally use suave mousse. (: the strongest number, ehh about a ten. when you’re hair is damp or towl-dried..basically scrunch it with the mousse.

(:

You should go ask the same stylist who did your hair.
