How can I get the loose curls look?
I have very straight hair and I’m awful at doing anything with my hair. Basically I can put it in a ponytail or a bun. I love the loose curls look but I have no idea how to go about doing it. Any tips??
first shampoo and condition hair. when your hair is damp put in Garnier Fructose extra hold STRONG cream. curl around fingers how tight or loose you want it. the more you put in, the longer itll last. try to sleeep on it so it want get hard, spray in harispray. fix up anyhting in the morning. IT WORKS!
Here are the steps ( which I got from a magazie):
- Wash and condition with a curl-enhancing LIGHT WEIGHT formula *Tip: Only shampoo your roots to avoid drying out the rest of your hair and only condition your ends, because if you condition your roots, it’ll weight your hair down and make it harder to hold curls
- Apply your styling product of choice ( preferably, a volumizing mousse). Be sure to not use too much, because that will weight your hair down and reduce shine.
- Divide hair from front to back by parting ( lengthwise). Seperate each side into 3 equal sections. Twist each section and clip out of the way.
- Wrap and round brush under a section of hair as close to scalp as possible. Aim the nozzle of a blow-dry down the hair shaft and use it to follow the brush as you extend it from the roots to the ends of your hair. Repeat until each section is fully dry.
- After each section is dry, wrap the hair around 2 inch-velcro rollers. Secure each roller with bobby pins.
- Once all hair is dry and set in rollers, mist it lightly with hairspray with a long-lasting hold. Allow hair to dry a few aditional minutes.
- Gently remove bobby pins and rollers. Using your fingers, carefully comb the hair to blend the sections together. Apply a dab of finishing balm to the tips of your fingers and run them lightly through hair for shine and hold. VOILA! This is a long process to go through on a day-to-day basis, so it’s best you save this for special occassions and reconcile your natural hair type. Hope that helped, peace! P.S. Or you could try seperating it into two sections, spraying it with hairspray and pulling those sections into 2 buns, then sleeping like that and taking them out when you wake up.
As easy as washing your hair with curl defining shampoo and conditioner, then letting it dry naturally until your hair is just a little damp, apply Garnier fructis ‘wave defining mouse’ strong hold, and start by scrunching your hair, working up from your tips to your roots. Then twirl sections around your finger all over your head. You can also blow dry on a low level while doing this. and when its completely dry you should have silky curly waves that are controlled, defined, soft and full of movement. :) I do it a lot because it works well on straight hair or natural messy waves.
I have naturally curly hair so I’m not sure how much this will help.
Shampoo and condition your hair every other day. In the mornings - Brush your hair and then wet with cold water. (Cold water controls friz) Towel dry hair and then brush. Get about a dime - quarter size of styling gel in your hands and rub hands together. Run the gel through your hair and then lightly brush through. Flip your head over and blow dry your hari while scruntching it. Don’t dry hair all the way. Spritx with hair spray and then take a diffuser to sections of your hair. (Make sure your head is still flipped over) Scruntch your hair with an old t-shirt to soak up water. *Flip your hair over and finish styling your now curly hair how you like.
This takes me about 10 - 15 minutes each morning, but my hair comes to the middle of my back.
I hope this helped. :)
