How many credit cards should a person have?

Apparently, it’s suggested that you carry 3 credit cards, but what do you think? Is it too many? Too few?

Answer #1

I think none is best ;)

Answer #2

It really depends. I don’t have any and don’t intend to have any. I do however keep some emergency money in an account I do not touch. If you have no self restraint and will use it for shopping etc. rather have none, because interest is just too much on it. I think credit cards should be there for emergency purposes such as when your car breaks down and you have to pay an amount you don’t have handy and not for any other use.

Answer #3

One, for emergencies. And not as in one for (emergency shopping sprees or must have shoes or purses.) シ Unless you have a business. And use it specifically for business expenses only. But then again, you may need a third, just in case one one of the three gets declined. Tough one. .

Answer #4

Agreed

Answer #5

Yea i agree with you. I would rather have money put up to not touch unless for emergencies. If i had a credit card i would probably miss use it lol.

Answer #6

My mom used to cut them before I could even get my hands on them. I’m thankful now. But! I’m more responsible now. Now that I understand a little more about how & when to spend.

Answer #7

Lol mine did the same and I’m the same way now

Answer #8

Agreed,

Answer #9

There’s no reason why a (generic) person “should” carry any credit cards at all.

Answer #10

I think one generic card is good to have in cases of emergency. I could see if you have a business ….a business credit card would also make sense. I think it depends on the money you have on reserve if you can use your bank debit card, then it would make more sense to debit your account and bypass any credit cards. On the other side of the coin, if you have no credit and need to make a major purchase like car, etc not having credit can hurt you.

Answer #11

Hhaa, ha!

Answer #12

In fact, most people don’t {:^)

Answer #13

I know you probably have 5 or 6 - 3 or 4 at the least. (:

Answer #14

I have one. Never did, until just a few years ago.

Answer #15

1 is enough

Answer #16

not even a single one. because it is purely a risk
