Are crayons better than colored pencils?

Answer #1

That really depends on what you’re using them for. Crayons are good for adding texture, or layers, while coloured pencils can be used to create shades using varying amounts of pressure.

Answer #2

Lets say for a group of rowdy elementary kids.

Answer #3

personally i like colored pencils better…seems like they give the picture a better look…but that’s just my opinion.

Answer #4

Definitely crayons…they’re less likely to cause injury

Answer #5

Yes but they don’t seem to work well together on the same canvas, it is almost like writing a story and then just changing the font the whole time.

Answer #6

I love the smell of crayons. I don’t know if that’s weird, but it just reminds me of when I was a little kid. Plus, crayons don’t really need to be sharpened like pencils do. Sharp + elementary kiddos = not a great idea.

Answer #7

It’s not weird.. I like it too

Answer #8

They are made for different purpose. Crayon is for rough painting in a big size of paper while coloring pencils are for details. usually in smaller size of paper. If both are taught at school, it is for introducing the kinds of painting tools.

Answer #9

haha nothing beats crayons :)
