How to make conversation with a 11th grade boy if you're in 9th grade?

Like Jacqueline said, find something in common. Perhaps you like the same music, books, movies? Do you have the same political leaning or religious views?

Ask him what he did the past weekend, ask him what class he has next, ask him what he’s up to this coming weekend… It’s not as hard as you think :)
