what do you think about all the controversy with gay teens on tv?

I think society just needs to be more tolerant. And people need to teach their children to be more tolerant, too. So should teachers. They should make lessons about minority groups and tolerance.

Nobody chooses to be gay. It’s a natural thing, there are hormonal influences and I’ve read that gay people tend to have slightly different cerebral structures. You know, brains of men and women are a little different and gay people are somehow a more similar to the opposite gender in their brain than the average heterosexual people of their own gender. So it just happens to some folks. They just are that way. They can’t decide to be like everyone else. Just like you can’t decide to have a different eye color tomorrow or to be a genius at math from now on. Some time in their life, they realize they aren’t attracted to the opposite gender. And then they have to deal with that.

I think it’s hard enough for them even without everyone pointing at them saying “Yuck! You are different!!”. We should just accept people the way they are. And we should make sure everyone knows that disrespectful behavior is not accepted by the majority of people.
