Why do condoms expire?

like what makes them go bad

Answer #1

maybe the plastic and elastic stuff gets weaken , and then you might have a shred in it so you might get pregrant :D and thats a thing no one even wishes for :P ..

Answer #2

The material gets weak after a while plus if it’s old, it could have somehow got a hole in it from being amoungst other belongings.

Answer #3

The material wears down and the sperm killer stuff that’s name I forget stops working.

Answer #4

The lubrication inside the pack has dried up and its affect to keep the condom moist can no longer work..A condom has a life span and expiration just like milk, etc. It is no longer safe to use when this lubrication has gone. You can try to put ky jelly or another type of lub on it but you run the risk of it breaking faster, infections, etc…and who knows what that will lead to.

Answer #5

The latex that makes up the condom will weaken as it gets old, which can cause it to break. Aging, heat, and pressure (such as carrying it in your wallet, guys!) all reduce the life of a condom. • If the condom breaks or comes off during use, get the morning after pill - called PLAN B. If used right away it will reduce the chance of pregnancy by up to 85%

Answer #6

spermicide ;)

Answer #7

i guess its because the rubber isnt rubbery and it wouldnt stay on and they probally arent safe anymore and they probally dont have the lubricant stuff on it anymore
