How do I get a yahoo icon on this desktop

When you drag a link, it usually brings the icon. But, sometimes it doesn’t, and often the icon disappears as a result of housecleaning or computer fairies. To make it permanent (or to attach it in a non-standard way)… First go to yahoo - or whatever site you want.. When you are on site your computer will automatically put a copy of the icon in your ‘Temporary Internet File’, which on my computer is found at C:\Documents and Settings\Compaq_Owner\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files Sort the folder by TYPE and look for ‘Icons’ or ‘Window Icons’ I then drag the selected icon(s) to a created folder in My Documents. Then the link that I want to remain permanently attached to that icon, right click choose Properties, then the tab that will show the button ‘Change Icon…’ and then browse to where you stored the desired icon, double click it, click OK and you are set.
