Computer Shut Down

I have a problem with my pc, it keeps shutting down not like saving files but like the power just got cut and if that happens I cant start it up again unless I turn off the power supply on the back of my pc and restart it, also I bought a new powersuplly of 500 (old one was 300) but it still didnt help because it keeps going off and the same effects Does any body know what hardware is broken ? I know is not a Virus

when it shuts down.does it just go straight out or does it go click and then tries to restart itself. It could be that you need to reset your bios.

There is a possibility that your house power is bad. This can cause the PC power to shut down. If you notice the lights flicker, that indicates bad power. If this is the situation, you need an Uninteruptable Power Source - a UPS. This plugs into the wall and your PC plugs into it. It provides battery backup when the power fails. You could also have a bad main board. I would look into the power situation first, as a bad mainboard is a pain to deal with. Good luck!
