How can I make my own computer generated music?

Its that I am thinking of being a solo artist and I dont play any instruments and i dont have the money. I need some website where I can actually borrow music or it can let me make up background music. For example, techno beats, violin background music, guitar background music, and other random beats that I can fuse them with my singing. Can anyone help? I use Audacity-win-1.3.12. HELP please…

Hi, You’d need a software synthesizer to create your own music on your computer. Audacity can transform music. Make it faster, slower, regulate volume, cut a song, merge two songs, merge pieces of songs into another… But it’s not actually made for creating new melodies.

There’s a free software synthesizer on Linux (the names of the programs one would need are “jackd”, “qsynth” and “Rosegarden”). But I don’t know whether there is a free, downloadable synthesizer that will run on a Windows PC.

There is an app you can download for your computer that is called “GarageBand”. It is a great app that I strongly recommend. You can record your own music from voice or by playing the keyboard, piano etc. You can then put special effects into it by adding a backing track or pitching the music. Hope this helps. i use fl studio!! its got evrythin.!!! mixin..editing.. recordin!! pretty much what a studio has!!!

umm… sorry,,, i dont think u can download it for free!!! maybe the demo version!! just google fl studio!! maybe that ll help!! i got it from a fren though!! awesome stuff!!
