Computer components

Whats the difference between hard disk and hard drive of a computer

What does each component do ?

Answer #1

I’m pretty sure they are the same thing.

Here’s a little bit of info: A file is simply a string of bytes. When a program running on the computer requests a file, the hard disk retrieves its bytes and sends them to the CPU one at a time. The size of the hard drive/disk is how much data it can hold.

(I think this is the correct form below) Kb= Kilobytes Mb= Megabytes G = Gigabytes T = terabyte

1 KB - 1000 Bytes 1MB - 1000 KB 1000MB - 1G 1000G - 1TB

Answer #2

it is exactly the same thing. A hard drive is just a part of the computer where you store information on. People often mistakenly call it the memory of the computer which is actually your RAM.

Hard drive is made for long term storage of information and spartan 512 has good information.
