How can someone with A.D.D make it through college and other hobbies or jobs?

Answer #1

Well, if you’re already assuming you can’t- you won’t. Simple as that. If you put your mind to it, you most definitely can make it through college, I’m sure plenty of people with A.D.D. have. It’s more about attitude.

Answer #2

Well idk how to make it through class itself but when it comes to college work you need games. I know it sounds a little off but the monsignor at my high school told my class that he had A.D.D last yr. He told us that whenever he had a big project on his computer he would save it after 10-20 min of work and play solitare or pinball. After the game was over he would work for another 10-20 min and play. So you just need to learn to cope with it and fix a little break time into whatever you are doing. Btw the person who posted before me is right, if you think you can’t you won’t be able to, so stay positive.

Many people with ADHD are highly educated and successful. In fact some of the most important and influential people throughout history shows signs of what we now call ADHD. Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, Leonardo Da Vinci, Alexander Grahm Bell, Benjamin Franklin, Galileo, Hemingway, Carnegie, Thoreau and Mozart are all thought to have had ADHD. Just think of how much poorer our world would be if these remarkable individuals were normal and fit in with everyone else? Some things that come easily to most people are very difficult for those with ADHD but at the same time people with ADHD can often do things that most people can’t. While people with ADHD can have trouble organizing and staying focused on mundane day-to-day tasks they also have the ability to hyper-focus on things that they find stimulating. It is estimated that 85% of people in Information Technology have ADHD. Their ability to work long hours on hard technical problems is an advantage in this field. ADHD is part blessing and part curse. I have ADHD and though I have struggled a lot in life I have also done a lot. Its name is unfortunate because it is neither a deficit nor a disorder; it is simply a different type of person. The difficulty comes from having to fit into a non-ADHD world.

Answer #5

Answer #6
