Wow… My Wife was just recently was invited to a REGULAR baby shower…. Her friend Tawnyee and my friend Jim, so Jim is my friend but I’m, left out… Which I thought kinda sucked… But I’m, not like most men lol

Um… Lets see… I wouldn’t of minded doing “Daddy things” like… I am envisioning some BBQ-ing, with the guys, and cute little guy party favors, hmm like some Hotwheels… lol Yesh.. IDK… as much as I’ve though about it, because the Man is often left out of this one…

Thinks: Little bags with hotwheels, or hmm those cute little bubble gum cigars! YEAH! Lets see what else would be nice, no where as I’ve heard of for the women, mashing up candy making “Candy poo” putting them in diapers, and trying to figure out what type of candy it is… haha IDK if that would be good for one or even both, but thats one silyl fun game idea I’ve heard of before…

Most men like sports, try and inner-grade a sport that can be transfered in-doors, but done so to involve the baby aspect…

Like, large plastic bottles full of non-beer chug contest.. haha.. Okay, now I’m, just getting creative.. Wow… I will keep your Q: on the front burner if I think of any other ideas… I think I am just still taken aback the fact that we’re finally not being left out… Honestly, a lot of us, though act as if its not a big deal, a lot of the times its like, “Dang” why don’t us guys have some kinda part in it, we helped make it to? lol Wow Kuttos on the Question! I’ll keep you posted as Ideas filter through my mind…

All of our family baby showers have had the guys there too, and there are a few games we do..

  1. baby food game.. take the labels off baby food jars, give every one a pen, paper and little sampler spoons.. then start sendin the jars around the room to everyone and they have to guess what kind of baby food is in each one, by tasting it or smelling if they prefer.. It can get very interesting with using peas, asparagus, beef, chicken, etc. :)

  2. The dirty diaper game.. take an old cloth rag and cut them into a triangle and buy little tiny safety pins and make them look like a diaper, then add cocoa or chocolate frosting to one or two on the inside and at the end of the shower, who ever has the “dirty” diaper(s) gets a prize. (just dont let anyone know what they are for or they will know if they get something b4 hand)

  3. the “baby” game.. when everyone arrives give them each a long string to pin to their shirt.. and once every is there, tell them that through out the WHOLE baby shower they are not to say the word baby.. and who ever hears them say it will get to take their string. the more ppl u get to say baby the better, and who ever has the most strings in the end will get a prize.

  4. Baby changing game.. get a few dolls and a diapers and baby powder out and set them out where one baby has a diaper and powder etc for each.. and take 2 dads at a time and have them compete to see who can change the diaper the fastest, whoever wins gets to challenge someone else and who ever wins the most gets a prize.

  5. Bottle chug.. fill 8 oz bottles with something (we use pop) and have all the dads compete to finish them..

  6. the toilet paper game (if the mother hasnt had the baby yet).. dont tell anyone what the toilet paper is for, just walk around and tell them to take a peice the size they want.. and when they are done have the mom-to-be stand in the middle of the room and have each guest go up to her and see who took enough toilet paper to wrap around her belly.

I hope this helps, i have many more if u need them just let me know..

this is kinda gross, but its really fun(ny)! buy a bunch of diapers, and then buy lots of different kinds of chocolate bars (hershey, crunch, snickers, twix, reeses, etc.) blend them up one at a time and put one candy in each diaper. then have people go around and try to guess what kind of candy is in the poopy diaper!

my cousin just had a baby, and it was a coed shower. a few of the games we played were:…

babyshower bingo (the guests guess what is in the presents)

belly yarn (the guests all cut a pice of yarn and the closest one to the size of the mom’s belly wins)

birthdays (you name dates like the father’s birthday, the day the baby is guessed to arrive, the mother’s birthday, etc… and the guests who have their birthdays closest to the date win)

tip and story (note cards are placed on the table and the guests write a funny story about the mother or father or both and on the back they write a tip about how to raise the new baby) *-note cards are placed in book and given to the mother as a gift

hope i helped!!

Just have dude prizes available. beer, booze, tickets to a sporting event, baseball caps, etc. Guys are pretty cool about playing along for the most part. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Just find games that aren’t too “girly.”

I am hosting a “MAN” shower next month for my son. Women are also invited or who’s gonna cook and clean(smile). I rented gaming tables really cheap and asked friends to act as dealers. I also hired this mobile video guy who sets up big screens with the latest video games. To top the day off I bought a Kareoke machine with a nursery rhyme cd for all to enjoy! Instead of prizes for winning games i will give each guest a plastic baby bottle favor with a number on it as they arrive and raffle of gifts as the day goes on(caps; t-shirts; razors for the guys) (lotions; journals; compact mirrors for the ladies) i shop clearance sections and 99cent stores often for nick nacks of such. This is my first time doing this and i hoping for a great event! GOOD LUCK

There is a game we used to play, but it could be a little “risque” if older people are there. Or it was back in the 80’s anyway. Get someone to write down everything the mom to be says when she opens her presents. At the end of the night say “This is what was said the night the baby was conceived” and then list everything she said.

It’ll be like:

“OO I always wanted one of these” “Wow, thats so tiny” “Aww look at it, it’s pink”

stuff like that..you’ll have everyone rolling with laughter.

Answer #11

have the men b timed on eating a jar of baby food.

Answer #12

Every time there is a baby shower in my family it’s coed. First of all there’s lots a good food. (men love food right?) And usually some guys will grill up some hot dogs and burgers.

They usually stay out back and drink beer and play horseshoe while the “women folk” do their thing with presents inside.
