Cluster headaches are serious and should be taken to professional help. Theres a treatment you can get called the Oxygen Treatment where your brain monitors the amount of oxygen it is getting. Speak to a doctor about this and he will tell you what you have to do. Until you can see a doctor, put a ice pack on your temple, it is known to relief the pain on some people. Chronic cluster headaches can lead to stress and depression, your doctor might put you on pills depending on how severe it is. If pills dont work, you most likely will have to go treatment.

Are you sure that they are cluster headaches? Have you had them diagnosed as them? If not then you should definitely go to your GP as they may be unusual migraines or could stem from another problem. If you have had them diagnosed then you should go back to your GP and get advice on the best treatment.

My ex gets them andthe only thing he found to help is lying in a dark room and taking painkillers especially designed for migraines (In the UK you can buy some over the counter pills called Migraleve, but you should ask your pharmacist for pills designed for migraines). It will not work straight away, but you need to just rest your eyes and stay away from bright light and rest. they are really severe headaches so just try and rest and get some sleep and hopefully it will be goe by the time you wake.

A good thing to do if you regularly get these is to see if there is a trigger. Make a note of whenever you get them and what you did previously- maybe being on the computer/ watching TV for too long could contribute, or when you are stressed, or even when you eat certain foods. If you work out a trigger then hopefully you can learn to reduce the frequency of your headaches and deal with them quicker when they arrive.

Do go to the doctor for advice though as there may be certain things he or she can recommend or even prescribe for you.
