You get with friends, drink & swear, then get upset with God, right?

Kinda like Adam blamed Eve, and Eve blamed the serpant, right?

Imagine that…

well if you were a christian you wouldn’t be drinkign so really your a hyprocrite

you shouldnt get mad at God.its not his fault.he tries to help you bt you need to take control of the decisions that you make.

As a Christian I would never even have the desire to go drink and especially swear - I couldn’t do it because as a saved person the desire that is within me, from the Holy Spirit, is to do and say things that please my Lord, not things that go against Him - you did that and then say ‘you get upset with Him’ - I don’t understand that because I am but filthy rags without Him - I’m sure He would be disappointed in your actions, not the other way around - so just my opinion, this was anonymous and not written by one who is saved - not the actions of a saved person to go out and do those things, my opinion - stated: ‘I can’t help it’ ??

I like annv answer. Drinking is NOT wrong, the Bible says Drunkenness is. Jesus turned something as pure as water into wine.(wedding at Canaan) ..BUT swearing and having a worldly mindset is not something we should do as Christian, (if you are taking God’s name in vain) BUT as humans we are going to sin, but we need to as Christain strive to live a life as God would want us to.

I agree with most of the things “simithmax” said ofcoure jesus din’t not die for only the wright doings but for sinners too as he loves us all that he gives us the chance to repent and correct our mistakes. im a christian and you have to remember NO ones perfect. evryone makes mistakes and god understand that, relise your mistakes and ask for forgiveness and then forgive your self. if you keep repeating your mistakes then your not really sorry for them. drinking is not like killing someone so your not a bad person for doing what you want & living your life =]

I would realy work on my drinking problems before claiming that I am a christian.

Okay I can honestly say that from experieince It is possible to put an end to all of this. I used to call myself a christian I would love God yes but I would go out and do things that didnt please God very Much I would hang with my friends party and drink my friend invited me to church and I would say no she invited me to youth groups I would say no I did not want to be a part of this…Until i finally gave up one day and went when I got hurt very bad by some guy I though was perfect. I cried for a week and let me tell you something making that decision to go was the best decision of my life because God has helped me so much. You simply have to pray ask God to help you…talk to him just how you would talk to friends (ofcourse with respect though it doesn have to be very long especially since you are barely starting it will be a while until hours of speaking to him will be like a breeze :0 you need to find some christian friends some who are deeply into church they can help you i am not saying that you should leave your old friends but once you get used to hanging around your christian friends…you will obviously have a different vocabulary when your with them it will eventually stick to you…you will no longer have the urge to curse and yill even see how filthy it sounds when other say bad words…Go to church repent of your sins…really you can be free from all this…because you can’t be a follower of christ and do things that don’t please him. Pray to him and ask him to help you stop drinking….Soon you will find drinking les and less attractive….it will not be easy because you will have times when you will miss doing the things you used to do and you will be tempted but remember that when you give in the devil is laughing at you telling you “i knew you couldn’t do it” he is only trying to take you away from Gods path and beauty.. but you have to remember that the blessings God will give to you are much more important and beautiful to let go…
