A political party is a political organization that seeks to attain and maintain political power within government, usually by participating in electoral campaigns.

political party = A group organized to run candidates for public office under a common label.

I think you should understand some of the words in your definition though as they are pretty easy words.

Political Party: A group of people who have similar ideas about how our country should be run. (think republican, democrat, independent)

attain: To accomplish; to achieve, to aquire something or to get. “”The athlete was able to attain his medal””

maintain: To keep up; to preserve; To declare or affirm a point of view to be true. “”The landlord maintained the apartment”” or “”The atheist maintained his view.””

electoral: relating to a decision-making process by which the population chooses an individual to hold a formal office.

campaign: a series of coordinated activities designed to achieve a goal

A group of people who think the same way…they have the same ideas and would like the rest of us to have them…so in order to do that ..they have to come into power…umm…they have to like be the president or someone important…so they’ll have enough power to exercise those rights or be the policy makers…umm it means they make the rules…so that the rest of us will think like them..because they think what they think is the right way of thinking.Im getting confused just explaining it to you now lol.
