Child abuse...

If your mother…

  1. Makes you seriously consider suicide
  2. Threatens to beat the sh*t out of you, and is seriouse
  3. Makes you feel like you have to cut yourself, so you do
  4. Tells you that if you fail a grade, “your life will be over as of then”

Would you consider this child abuse?

Answer #1

…what cud throwing things at you b considered (ex. laundry basket, shoes, cell phone,…glass cups)

Answer #2

verbal abuse…n seriousely I dont know what to tell you because im going through hell myself =[

Answer #3

I know what your going threw. my mom is the same way. I moved out about a year ago when I was only 15. we are fine now but living with her was hell. kind of what your talking about I guess. but my mom did hit. and the time I finally stood up to her we got in a fist fight but me and my mom are the same size.. and she got the worst end of it but anyways I dont regret standing up for my self at all. maybe you need to find someone to help you stand up to her.. like another adult or someone from school. its a hard thing to do but if it gets bad thats what you got to do. its all your choice … but it helped me but yeah that is verbal abuse not physicall like mine was but it still hurts. But dont forget your mom loves you… dont block her out of your life completley just try to make it better… hope I helped… I just hope your mom realizes you could be gone forever when your 18. like my older sister moved out because of my mom and hasnt talked to her in 5 years.

Answer #4

Answer #5

I know what yer going through. and no child services wont help. I’ve tried. in my cae they called it displine or w/e but hang in there. im 15and just wishing I was 18 alread… hope I helped :)

Answer #6

no sh!t thats abuse call child services if it gets worse

Answer #7

That is verbal abuse. Until she starts hitting you. Talk to your mom about it. if she doesnt change her ways, you need to talk to someone, no matter how hard it hurts.

Answer #8

So let her yell she has to listen to you your her daughter if she loves you as I know she does then she will listen to you sometimes its hard for a parent to accept that she is an verbal abuser until she hits you. No one deserves that and if talking with your mother doesnt help then talk with your father or someone else that you trust. Its better to say something then to say nothing at all.

Answer #9

if I try to talk to her about it, shes just gonna find a new way to blame me, and then start yelling again…

Answer #10

Yes I would actually, you dont have to be physically beaten for this to be child abuse, words are enough. But my dadalways told me that there is never a good enough reason to kill your self, so just give your life to christ and let him lead the way and I promise that it will all be okay, if you need to talk to me about anyo of this feel free to anytime because this is sreious. I have been through the hardest of hard in my life and God took me through it all the way and saved my life and changed me forever.
