How to tell if there's a chick in my egg?

how can I tell if there is a chick inside of my egg? because I have a egg and I have keep it warm for 23 days and I want to know if there is a chick inside and let it be born or to thogh it out?

If you have no rooster, there’s definetely no chick. If you do, follow instructions above

the incubation period of an egg is around 21 days… if in a couple of days it hasnt hatched there’s probably no chick?

Hold it up to a semi-bright light…that’s the way they used to check for embryo’s in eggs in the old day…actually, they used to “candle eggs” in the old days…

Tho at this stage the chick would be taking up the whole shell…If you decide to break it open…do it outside, just incase all you have is a rotten egg.

hi, I found a robin’s egg outside.it fell out of the tree in my backyard.but it was still in the nest. it was a little bit cold when I found it so I thought I would give it a chance. so I put it under warm lamps.I saw a black dot in it!!! but it hasnt hatched for 10 mins.sooo can I eat it now??
