How much would chemically straightening wavy hair cost and does it last forever?

Chemically straightening is very damaging to your hair, doesnt last forever, costs a lot, and something may go wrong. Im guessing it will be about $60. call around local salons and ask what their rates are. you might be want to explain how much hair you have and what you want done to get an exact estimate so they dont tack on any fees you didnt know about. hope this helps :)

Mine is usually 70-80 dollars and my hair isn’t very long but super curly. My friend who’s hair is like twice the length of mine and is super curly usually pays 100-120 dollars. But with wavy hair, you coud probably get a relaxing perm and get away with passing it as straight. If you do go with a straightening perm make sure to get the japanese one, and NOT the brazilian one. The brazilian one has chemicals that are now proven to harm you. Depending on how well of a job you get done they usually last around 3-ish months.

Most treatments like this last about six months. It depends on what salon you go to get it done. I’ve been to salons that charge 200$ and it lasts six months, and I’ve been to some that only charge about 80$ and it lasts the same amount. I really wouldn’t suggest chemically straightening your hair, though. Wavy hair is beautiful! Just let it grow out (if it’s short now) and choose haircuts and products that work WITH your natural hair, not against it. Chemically straightening it will only lead to damage, and in the end, you’ll regret doing it. Trust me. I’ve been there, lol.
