just having the internet its self can give a computer a virus. as long as the internet connection is set then a virus can get to a computer. so yes. but as long as you have strong antivirus then dont worry.

It’s a bit tough to get a virus directly from a chat room; you would need a vulnerable computer, and someone in the chat room would need to be looking to exploit your computer. Most chat rooms have robots trying to do just that, so watch out!
