How much is the charge if I text someone in New Jersey and I live in New York?
I live in New York(staten island) and i wanna text my friend who lives in New Jersey, will it charge me extra?
I don’t think so, there’s no long distance for texts unless they live in another country (Canada to USA, etc).
But don’t quote me on that lol.

It doesn’t cost anything, unless it’s a different country, like say if you wen to canada and texted someone in the usa or vise versa. I found out the hard way with that, my bill was super expensive!
See with t-mobile I don’t have to worry about international calls or texts its all in the unlimited plan for $80.
I txt my friends in different states all the time. Never seen an extra charge for it. (I’m on Cellular One btw). Never heard of long distance txt charges from anyone or when I worked customer service for Sprint/Nextel.
Depends on your plan, and you could simply ask your phone company?
