If the character was based on and did things that can actually happen in real life. There are horrible things that can happen with real people and I personally find that the scariest.

I’d go with a non generic character, (Somethin other than the innocent looking blonde with big boobs who always seem to survive lol) maybe a sociopathic teenager! Like someone on equal footing as the antagonist in the story, in terms of how dangerous they are. But then again that would take away from the fear factor; when you have two predators going at it. You always need the helpless prey in the equation, to make a good horror story work. Still it would be cool to see.

Have someone like “Buffy, from Buffy the vampire slayer” That has the strength to destroy the bad person. The bad person is going to be very confused.
