Changing Belly ring

Hey so I got my belly button pierced two weeks ago, the guy said to wait a month untill I change it but they pierced with with a hoop ring and its been bothering me because it sticks out so it rubs against my work clothes and gets irritated and sore, also I have to watch how I sleep because I cant sleep on my stomach with the hoop. I was wondering if there would be any complications if I changed the hoop to a barbell? I know im supposed to wait a month but with the barbell I would leave it in for a few months. is there anything to be concerned about changing it now?

Answer #1

I have a belly ring you shouldnt change it til 6 months

Answer #2

actualluy the healing time for a navle ring is about 6 months you should change it after 3 if you wanted to so 1 month is pushing it dont change it yet, wait untill at least a month otherwise it has a higher chance of getting infected and it could close up you can ask what jewelrey you want when you get it peirced they should have used the barbell first though but next time, remember that you need to specify what jewelrey you want or theyll pick for you do wait a bit longer to change it putting a bandaid over it while you sleep cpould help, itll stop it sticking out so much just dont always use the bandaid though

Answer #3

yeah, it can get infected- or may not even go back in. the inside isn’t healed. try putting a bandaid over it so it wont rub your clothes- but make sure it doesnt pull it when removed. DONT CHANGE IT YET.

Answer #4

I wouldnt change it because it could get infected, but if its bothering you that much then you should go to the guy an have him switch

             Hope I helped
