What do I do if I misplaced my phone?

So..this is really, really, bad. I have a Verizon L.G and yesterday, almost two days ago, I misplaced it. I took my dog Nemo and my friend’s dog out on a walk and I’m hoping I didn’t drop it! We walked inside the store, because the dogs and I were going to Petland to buy some treats. Well, I’m hoping I didn’t drop it, and if I did, I’m even more worried someone stole it. I am so freaked out! The worst part is, the damn thing is dead, so I can’t call it to see if it’s home. It goes straight to Voicemail. I’m so scared, I can’t tell my dad. He freaks out if I lose a nickel. (No joke) He makes a mountain out of a mole-hill, but this is not a mole-hill, it’s a Cell phone, so what can I do? Is it possible for the Verzion Employees to track my phone somehow? Please, I really need advice fast. :(

Ps- Someone could have easily stole it, I live less than a 2-minute drive from a very popular mall.
